Ruby red grapefruit and mint go together really well. Add a banana for creaminess and you get another perfect smoothie, sweet yet refreshing!
RECIPE FOR A SMOOTHIE WITH GRAPEFRUIT AND MINT
Ingredients for this smoothie:
1 Ruby Red grapefruit
1 cm ginger
3-4 sprigs mint
2 dates, pitted and soaked in 1 C water
1 C soaking water
1 tsp mesquite
1 pinch salt
optional: 1/2 tsp maca or cacao
Blend all, add water if necessary and maybe another date if you prefer it to be sweeter.
C = cup, 240 ml
1/2 C = half a cup, 120 ml or / TBSP
1/4 C = quarter of a cup, 60 ml or 4 TBSP
TBSP = table spoon, 15 ml or 3 tsp
tsp = tea spoon, 5 ml
“soft dates” = medjool are usually best. If necessary, soak briefly and drain. The soaking water is super sweet by the way!
