Usually, kale chips are salty, spicy, savoury – for chocolate aficionados like me something that needs to change of course.
May I present: sweet Kale Chips. With hazelnuts and chocolate. Because, why wouldn’t ya.
Preparation:
Wash kale, tear leaves off stems.Place leaves in a bowl. (You can use the stems in a juice or smoothie)
Puree other ingredients in your blender.
Massage this marinade into the leaves, make sure they are all coated.
Spread on 2 dehydrator trays.
Dehydrate for 3 hours at 52 degrees celsius.
Flip, dehydrate at 42 degrees for another 4-5 hours or until they are crunchy.
Notes:
C = cup, 240 ml
1/2 C = half a cup, 120 ml or / TBSP
1/4 C = quarter of a cup, 60 ml or 4 TBSP
TBSP = table spoon, 15 ml or 3 tsp
tsp = tea spoon, 5 ml
“soft dates” = medjool are usually best. If necessary, soak briefly and drain. The soaking water is super sweet by the way!
