1.5 cups melted cacao paste OR .75 C cacao powder and .75 cacao butter or coconut oil, melted
1/3 C almond butter
1 C coconut flakes
.5 C macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
.5 C raisins
.5 C maple syrup, honey, agave syrup or date paste (pitted dates in a blender, if the dates are pretty hard, soak before)
1 tsp vanilla extract
salt
Process cacao paste or powder and oil with almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla and salt in a blender or food processor until creamy.
Mix evenly in a bowl with coconut, macadamia nuts and raisins.
Line a square tin with baking paper or plastic wrap and spread out dough; place in the freezer for about 1 hour.
Remove from the freezer and cut into desired shapes.
* Keeps refrigerated for up to 6 weeks.
* Makes about 12 bars or 24 chews.
