2 Recipes for green smoothies:
Black Minty Kiwi
1/4 pineapple, peeled and core removed
1 C blackberries
1 banana, fresh or frozen
1 kiwi
1/2 pear
1/2 C (coconut) water
The Great Green
2 C greens – e.g. beetroot tops, spinach, kale, chard, lettuce, coriander – packed
1 banana, fresh or frozen
1/2 pear
10 ripe strawberries, with greens
1 C (coconut) water
Place ingredients in the blender of your choice and blend until creamy smooth.
Enjoy!
Notes:
C = cup, 240 ml
1/2 C = half a cup, 120 ml or / TBSP
1/4 C = quarter of a cup, 60 ml or 4 TBSP
TBSP = table spoon, 15 ml or 3 tsp
tsp = tea spoon, 5 ml
“soft dates” = medjool are usually best. If necessary, soak briefly and drain. The soaking water is super sweet by the way!
