Recipe- Messy Oatmeal Bowl

You are what you eat, right? .. so looking at my breakfast, what does that make me? Plenty of different flavours, colours and textures in there – but with a solid base 😊

Looking at your food, what are you?

This recipe can be prepared the night before, and taken to work in a jar – super simple, very delicious and filling, giving you energy for hours.

Switch it up with different fruits, any berries, nuts and seed butter, endless possibilities!

 

RECIPE FOR AN EASY OATMEAL BOWL

Ingredients:

1/2 cup oats

1/2 cup water or plant based milk

1 tsp raisins

1 tsp pepitas

1 TBSP peanut butter

1 TBSP raw chocolate

grapes

blueberries

cacao nibs

coconut flakes

Preparation:

Soak oats, raisins and pepitas overnight with water or plant based milk / or for 30 minutes if you are using quick oats.

Top with peanut butter, chocolate, grapes and berries.

Sprinkle with cacao nibs or coconut flakes.

Take to work in a mason jar or enjoy straight away.

Notes:

C = cup, 240 ml
1/2 C = half a cup, 120 ml or / TBSP
1/4 C = quarter of a cup, 60 ml or 4 TBSP
TBSP = table spoon, 15 ml or 3 tsp
tsp = tea spoon, 5 ml
“soft dates” = medjool are usually best. If necessary, soak briefly and drain. The soaking water is super sweet by the way!
